Uva radio announcers are homers
Forced to listen to them while driving from Lexington to Covington. At the game's start, they were doing their best to make the crowd sound ravenous - which sounded like it was anything but. Thought they'd soiled their pants at the end of Tech's first possession, because uva would get the chance to score first - as VT was 0-4 in games where the opponent scored first. Said that there were "tens of thousands" of orange towels waving at the start of that first uva drive - despite the stadium being half-full at best, according to Tech's announcers. But the clincher was their score announcement at the first break: "Virginia zero, Virginia Tech zero." Not "no score," but "zero" to "zero." Guess it could have been worse: They could have gone all French and said "nil to nil," or even worse, "love to love." [Post edited by WVHokie84 at 11/27/2021 5:30PM]
