Forced to listen to them while driving from Lexington to Covington. At the game's start, they were doing their best to make the crowd sound ravenous - which sounded like it was anything but. Thought they'd soiled their pants at the end of Tech's first possession, because uva would get the chance to score first - as VT was 0-4 in games where the opponent scored first. Said that there were "tens of thousands" of orange towels waving at the start of that first uva drive - despite the stadium being half-full at best, according to Tech's announcers. But the clincher was their score announcement at the first break: "Virginia zero, Virginia Tech zero." Not "no score," but "zero" to "zero." Guess it could have been worse: They could have gone all French and said "nil to nil," or even worse, "love to love."
